After studying at The University of Central Lancashire and winning D&AD Student of the Year for a point of sale campaign for Paul Smith, Stephen joined The Chase in 1997. Over the years he has acquired experience in creating identities, campaign development and website design.

During his time in Manchester clients included:

The Co-operative Bank
Responsible for ensuring that the new ethical positioning for the bank was applied across and underpinned every piece of communication.

Smile.co.uk
Developed the visual marque for the UK's first internet bank.

When London beckoned in 2002, Stephen packed up his collection of tin toys and slot cars and played an integral part in establishing the London office. Clients have included:

Land Securities
Working closely with Britain's biggest property developer. Stephen has created the identities and positioning for several key buildings in the London Portfolio.

His interest in design extends to supporting the next generation of designers through a number of tutoring commitments including the London College of Communication and the University of Central Lancashire.

Stephen is very active within the design community, judging numerous awards schemes including Art Directors Club of Europe. His own awards shelf boasts a Gold from the New York Art Directors Club, Gold Clios, a Design Week Award and silver nominations from D&AD.
