Jim Sutherland's favourite piece of Chase mixed media.
It seems like such a counter-intuitive (or brave/ foolhardy) idea to show no images to promote a photographer—but that is obviously why it works so well.
This is such a simple, almost perverse, idea—beautifully written by some of the best writers around. It is expertly crafted typographically—and prints in a single colour.
It beautifully demands that you go and have a look at the photograph online—and when you do, you are anticipating the image that has already been written in your mind. Rarely does a piece of print work so seamlessly with digital.
It appears effortless and I wish I’d done it.
